Questions With Characters Amie Graham The Island

Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself!

Tell us who you are and what you do!

What do you do for a living?

How old are you?

Tell us about your story. What is it about and what role do you play?

Hi Ember, thank you for inviting me here! My name is Amie Graham, I’m thirty-one, I’m a photographer and I’m the main character in The Island. Right after my Dad died I found out my now ex-husband was cheating on me. Like, a lot. I got pretty depressed and really just didn’t know who I was anymore. Anyway, that part of my life is over since my best friend, Tony suggested I do something out of the ordinary to find out who I was again. Sounds super cliche, I know. I wound up joining a humanitarian group that builds homes for families who have lost theirs in natural disasters and that’s when I found myself in Kauai, Hawaii. When I was there I met Gabe and Michael and, I fell in love with them both and they fell in love with me. It sounds crazy, I know! We tried to find out if three people can truly love each other, or if it was just the air of the island messing with our hearts and minds.

Can you tell us about one of your most distinguishable features?

The first thing most people notice is how petite I am. Well, they say short, and I correct them, it’s petite.

Do you have any birthmarks or tattoos?

I didn’t at the beginning of the story, but I do now. I have an infinity symbol tattooed on my ring finger.

Would you ever want to go hang out with your author? If so, what would you do together?

Oh totally! I think we’d get along great. We both love sushi, wine and shopping – plus I’m sure she’d love to dish about the guys with me.

If you could have a super power what would it be, and why?

I’d love to be invisible. I would have loved to of been able to hear some of Gabe and Michaels conversations when we all first met.

What is your biggest pet peeve when dealing with others?

People who judge others for how they choose to live their life, who they love.

Indie Spotlight Kristina Adams

Hi Kristina! Thanks for joining us today!

I have a day job as a content marketer for a technology company, so
when I’m not writing I’m either doing something for that or
working on book marketing. I don’t have a lot of free time!

On the rare chance I do have some free time, I spend it with my
family, go to the cinema with my boyfriend (especially if there’s
a new superhero film out), or bake.

When I was seven. My mum bought me a pretty notebook and I decided
it would be the perfect place to write a story. It was about a china
teacup that someone stole. I even did drawings to go with it. The
drawings are hilarious.

When I put What Happens in New York up for preorder. Before then
I’d been completely terrified of sharing my writing with the
world, but once it went up for preorder, all the walls of fear
started to crumble.
