Tell us about your story. What is it about and what role do you play?
Hi Ember, thank you for inviting me here! My name is Amie Graham, I’m thirty-one, I’m a photographer and I’m the main character in The Island. Right after my Dad died I found out my now ex-husband was cheating on me. Like, a lot. I got pretty depressed and really just didn’t know who I was anymore. Anyway, that part of my life is over since my best friend, Tony suggested I do something out of the ordinary to find out who I was again. Sounds super cliche, I know. I wound up joining a humanitarian group that builds homes for families who have lost theirs in natural disasters and that’s when I found myself in Kauai, Hawaii. When I was there I met Gabe and Michael and, I fell in love with them both and they fell in love with me. It sounds crazy, I know! We tried to find out if three people can truly love each other, or if it was just the air of the island messing with our hearts and minds.
Can you tell us about one of your most distinguishable features?
The first thing most people notice is how petite I am. Well, they say short, and I correct them, it’s petite.
Do you have any birthmarks or tattoos?
I didn’t at the beginning of the story, but I do now. I have an infinity symbol tattooed on my ring finger.
Would you ever want to go hang out with your author? If so, what would you do together?
Oh totally! I think we’d get along great. We both love sushi, wine and shopping – plus I’m sure she’d love to dish about the guys with me.
If you could have a super power what would it be, and why?
I’d love to be invisible. I would have loved to of been able to hear some of Gabe and Michaels conversations when we all first met.
What is your biggest pet peeve when dealing with others?
People who judge others for how they choose to live their life, who they love.
