Damsel in distress…

Here’s mine:

Unable to keep her balance, she staggered. As her knees wobbled and then gave out, Brynn prepared to hit the hard ground for a second time tonight.

But it never happened.

Because she suddenly found herself being swung up into the air, cradled safely in a pair of strong arms.

“You’re impossible,” a rough voice growled in her ear.

  1. And here’s another one from Dare to Love!

Let her cry. Fix her car. Send her on her way.
That was my saintly, foolproof plan.
And when she finally quieted, her sobs reduced to just the occasional sniffle, I pulled away. Then grabbed her by the shoulders and physically set her aside because every man has a limit, and I’d reached the end of my rope long ago. I finished the tire change in dead silence, threw the jack, along with the tattered reject in her trunk, and took a deep breath before facing her again.

  2. Merry Christmas!!! This is from Merry Me…

Backing up a few steps as a wetness started to flood his shoes, she almost fell face first into the snow. “Let me help you. Wait for me, Lynn.” Looping an arm around her waist, he held her firmly as more coldness seeped into his body. She was like an icicle.
His footsteps wobbled through the snow as he helped her out of the ditch and into his truck. And those shaky footsteps weren’t just from the snow making it difficult to walk.
